I feel sure he did.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">========<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Was there a reason he was sent to Bethel, Jericho and to the Jordan?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">========<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>I have always\u00a0assumed those\u00a0towns were on the way from where Elijah was to the Jordan, which he knew he\u00a0had to cross to\u00a0meet with God.\u00a0 No other reason is given to us for him doing that.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">========<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The sons of the prophets knew, and apparently Elisha also.\u00a0 Is that why Elisha said he would not leave his sight because he knew he was about to be taken up?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">========<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>I think so, yes.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">========\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Now, it came to pass when Jehovah was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a storm-wind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And Elijah said to Elisha, \u201cStay here, if you will, because Jehovah has sent me to Bethel.\u201d But Elisha said, \u201cI swear by the life of Jehovah, and by your life, I will not leave you!\u201d And so, they went down to Bethel.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel went out to Elisha and said to him, \u201cDo you know that Jehovah is going to take your lord away from your head today?\u201d And he said, \u201cI know it, too. Hush.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And Elijah said to him, \u201cElisha, stay here, if you will, for Jehovah has sent me to Jericho.\u201d But he said, \u201cI swear by the life of Jehovah, and by your life, I will not leave you!\u201d And so, they went to Jericho.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho approached Elisha and said to him, \u201cDo you know that Jehovah is going to take your lord away from your head today?\u201d And he said, \u201cI know it, too.
