{"id":15848,"date":"2025-07-15T19:04:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-16T00:04:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=15848"},"modified":"2025-07-16T19:06:22","modified_gmt":"2025-07-17T00:06:22","slug":"isaiah-436-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/15848\/isaiah-436-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Isaiah 43:6-7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hi Pastor John.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">RE: Isaiah 43:10\u201311<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In Isaiah 43:10-11, why does God say there was no god formed after Him, nor is there a Savior other than Him?\u00a0\u00a0Wouldn\u2019t this be Jesus who is the savior and who was formed after God?\u00a0\u00a0Or is it that because God and Jesus are one in spirit that God is including Jesus in his statements?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Isaiah 43<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"10\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Before me, no god was formed, and after me shall be none.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0 \u00b611. \u201cI, even I, am Jehovah, and besides me, there is no Savior.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Thank you,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Anna<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">=========<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Hi Anna.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Jesus would agree with what his Father said through Isaiah.\u00a0\u00a0You will remember that the apostles taught that the Son was God\u2019s agent in creation.\u00a0\u00a0The author of Hebrews, for example, said of the Son that God, \u201chas appointed him heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds\u201d (Heb. 1:2).\u00a0\u00a0However, when Jesus spoke of creation, he mentioned no one but the Father (Mk. 10:6; 13:19).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>We know that the Father appoints others to positions of authority and calls them \u201cgods\u201d (e.g. Ex. 7:1; 22:28), and so, it is not surprise that the father would address the Son s \u201cGod\u201d, as He did in Psalm 45:6:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.\u00a0 A scepter of equity is the scepter of your kingdom.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore, God,\u00a0even your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>And yet, when Jesus was here, he spoke of the Father as the only God, and the only One who is holy (Mt. 19:17).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>It is the same with \u201cSavior\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0Jesus is the only Savior that God has appointed for mankind (cf.
