{"id":15850,"date":"2025-07-15T19:19:34","date_gmt":"2025-07-16T00:19:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=15850"},"modified":"2025-07-16T19:23:55","modified_gmt":"2025-07-17T00:23:55","slug":"father-son-reading-chap-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/15850\/father-son-reading-chap-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Father &amp; Son reading Chapter 3*"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ohhh John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Rereading a section at home after this morning really touched me!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On page 108, at the bottom, paragraph, speaking about the Fellowship of God being a testimony to his\u00a0Son, and the fact that believers are divided and not serving God together in unity is a testimony to the world\u00a0<em>against<\/em>\u00a0Jesus, not for him.\u00a0<strong>That is just so sad to me<\/strong>. Millions are content in their divisions, their denominations, thinking they are all right. Not only does it divide God\u2018s people from one another, but it also invokes an insidious measure of pride in each person\u2019s heart that they are the ones who are worshiping properly, as opposed to their neighbors across the street.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">You continue to write in the final page that this is perhaps \u201cthe greatest tragedy in history, even surpassing the tragedy of the original fall in the garden of Eden.\u201d \u00a0We are all less than we could be in Christ because of these divisions.\u201d\u00a0 Oh, it just tears at my heart.\u00a0 I\u2019m so grateful that after I was finished church-hopping, trying to find one group that made sense to me, that God whispered to me and called me away from\u00a0<strong>all<\/strong>\u00a0of those sects.\u00a0 I thank the Lord that\u00a0He chose to reveal a\u00a0<em>desire<\/em>\u00a0for the truth in my heart, and I sniffed it out like a dog when I found brother Gary\u2019s radio broadcast and felt something brand new and refreshing and healthy; something that made sense. That was God; not my intellect!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Not my wisdom!!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Like others said this morning,\u00a0this truth about the Father and the Son is what God\u2019s people are looking for \u2013\u00a0and what they really want.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We were all sinners, but God enabled us to\u00a0<strong>want<\/strong>\u00a0it too.
