{"id":15898,"date":"2025-08-08T16:13:18","date_gmt":"2025-08-08T21:13:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=15898"},"modified":"2025-08-10T16:34:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-10T21:34:10","slug":"who-cares-more-for-the-world-than-the-god-of-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/15898\/who-cares-more-for-the-world-than-the-god-of-it\/","title":{"rendered":"Who cares more for the world than the god of it?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Morning!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I don\u2019t think the thought of sin wearying God has ever entered my mind,\u00a0or at least not into my heart.\u00a0\u00a0But of course it does.\u00a0 Just look at how much it wearies us!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I\u2019ve been listening to the readings from the Father and the Son\u00a0book*, and a thought came to me: a good measuring stick for those feelings of not letting go of who you were\u2014and not rejoicing in who He\u2019s made you to be\u2014is this:\u00a0<em>What spirit cannot rejoice in the goodness of God? What spirit can never let go of its sin?<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0So, what spirit is whispering and keeping you from rejoicing?\u00a0\u00a0It sure sounds a lot more like one of the fallen than the Risen!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And who cares about the things of this world more than the one who only has this world:\u00a0&#8220;the\u00a0god\u00a0of this world&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0Who walks around consumed and burdened by this world more than the\u00a0god\u00a0of it?\u00a0\u00a0It gives a whole new light on who is\u00a0who.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It was a feel-good thought for me!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Beth<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">P.S.\u00a0\u00a0God said this to Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Isaiah 43:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">24b. &#8220;You burdened me with your sins; you wearied me with your iniquities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">25. I am He who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">26.
