{"id":15915,"date":"2025-08-16T09:38:07","date_gmt":"2025-08-16T14:38:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=15915"},"modified":"2025-08-20T09:39:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T14:39:10","slug":"left-to-your-own-thoughts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/15915\/left-to-your-own-thoughts\/","title":{"rendered":"Left to your own thoughts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">John,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This morning, I was in kitchen makes breakfast for Anna and me.\u00a0 We had the news on, listening to the weather, and a commercial came on about people being alone and left to their own thoughts.\u00a0 I got to talking to Jesus about how thankful I am that we are not left with our own thoughts anymore!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He has given us so much and done so much for us that I don&#8217;t have time to get lost in my own thoughts, nor do I want to.\u00a0 I love this scripture (Col. 3:2) &#8220;Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.&#8221;\u00a0 if we do this, we will not have a problem with any self-serving spirit!\u00a0 I am not talking about doing normal ordinary things.\u00a0 That&#8217;s a given; we do that every day.\u00a0 But while we are doing those things, our minds are occupied with the Father and the Son!!
