{"id":15952,"date":"2025-10-12T18:17:18","date_gmt":"2025-10-12T23:17:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=15952"},"modified":"2025-10-19T18:21:42","modified_gmt":"2025-10-19T23:21:42","slug":"reading-genesis-anew","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/15952\/reading-genesis-anew\/","title":{"rendered":"READING GENESIS&#8230;anew"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ohh John I feel so\u00a0<strong><em>good<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0right now&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For over 25 years, I&#8217;ve been reading\u00a0and studying\u00a0the KJV (King James Version) since I first began with\u00a0brother\u00a0Gary in the OT (Old Testament) class.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I&#8217;m currently reading s l o w l y through Genesis, YOUR version, PJV (Pastor John\u2019s Version),* and I am getting so much more out of it!\u00a0 It almost makes me cry&#8230; how much more vivid are my visualization of the scenes, and my understanding is heightened.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As I compare each sentence\u00a0to the\u00a0KJV, I can appreciate\u00a0our translation SO MUCH MORE.\u00a0 I can appreciate\u00a0the\u00a0BIBLE so much more!\u00a0 \u00a0The stories are more emotionally moving than ever before. I really\u00a0<em>FELT<\/em>\u00a0for Hagar when she was cast out\u00a0by Sarai, and God&#8217;s angel met her in the wilderness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I feel the value of our translation is in the familiar vernacular, in which we speak, but also the\u00a0<strong><em>accuracy<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0of the translation\u00a0comes through!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I feel so blessed&#8211;as if the\u00a0holy ghost\u00a0is really influencing my reading this time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I thank God for your\u00a0tireless\u00a0work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We are all enjoying the OT class, by the way.\u00a0 Stuart fervently emphasized that the MAPS are important!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We&#8217;re a good group and the fellowship is valuable.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Brad<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">*<\/span>\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/goingtojesus.com\/gtj_translation.html\">https:\/\/goingtojesus.com\/gtj_translation.html<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ohh John I feel so\u00a0good\u00a0right now&#8230; For over 25 years, I&#8217;ve been reading\u00a0and studying\u00a0the KJV (King James Version) since I first began with\u00a0brother\u00a0Gary in the OT (Old Testament) class.
