Hey Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n

Last night Alex and I read\u00a0“Pillar\u00a0#3: One Hope”\u00a0in the\u00a0S<\/em>even\u00a0Pillars\u00a0<\/em>book.<\/em>*\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>I have a question from\u00a0the section titled, “We Must Do Good Works.”\u00a0\u00a0In Revelation 20:13,\u00a0it says, \u201cAnd the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one, according to their deeds.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

What exactly is John saying when he refers to the sea,\u00a0or do we know? Is he saying the sea also holds souls of the ones lost?<\/span><\/p>\n

There is no reason to think that solid ground can hold dead souls but water cannot.\u00a0 I think John is referring to people who have died at sea rather than on land.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Also, are Death and Hades in reference to the same thing versus\u00a0two\u00a0different places?<\/span><\/p>\n

Death and Hades are spirits, not places.\u00a0 That’s why\u00a0in John’s vision,\u00a0Death could ride a horse and Hades could follow him.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

We are really enjoying reading this book.\u00a0\u00a0So many light bulb moments and puzzle pieces that fit together.\u00a0\u00a0A few praise breaks along the way too! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of my favorite\u00a0“aha”\u00a0moments last night was Acts\u00a016:32\u00a0when I read,\u00a0\u00a0\u201cAnd then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and all who were in his house.\u201d\u00a0They\u00a0spoke<\/em>\u00a0the word of the Lord.\u00a0\u00a0They didn\u2019t read it!\u00a0\u00a0So many times, I have seen people try and convince others that the\u00a0Bible is the word of the Lord.\u00a0\u00a0What Paul and Silas had was a living and breathing gospel.\u00a0\u00a0I don’t remember that scripture ever sticking out to me the way it did this time reading it.\u00a0\u00a0I hope I remember that scripture now,\u00a0if ever in a conversation about that topic.<\/span><\/p>\n

I think that is all the questions I had from that chapter, that I can remember at this time,\u00a0anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n
