{"id":16270,"date":"2026-08-28T16:17:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T21:17:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=16270"},"modified":"2026-08-28T16:17:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T21:17:09","slug":"what-god-requires-requires-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/16270\/what-god-requires-requires-god\/","title":{"rendered":"What God requires, requires God"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Your pics of the grand Parthenon replica in Nashville, TN, go right along with what I am reading in the \u201cGod Had a Son Before Mary\u201d* book today.\u00a0 I love what I am feeling in reading this book!\u00a0 I try to underline sentences with my pen and my lines are wiggly because the spirit is so stirred up inside me that it\u2019s causing my hand to shake!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This is part of what I read this morning, \u201cProfessional religionists have always known, far better than God\u2019s children know, how to make an impressive show\u2026Israel failed because God\u2019s law was so simple they did not want it\u2026.It was because God\u2019s way in the Old Testament was an embarrassment to some in Israel that they strove to be like all the nations\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It\u2019s still that way today!\u00a0 The simplicity of Christ is just too plain.\u00a0 And there\u2019s no place to hide in that simple way of worship.\u00a0 \u201cOnly those who choose life over form are satisfied with the unpretentious \u201cstrait and narrow way of Jesus\u201d.\u00a0 Amen!\u00a0 I love the simplicity of Christ!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Preacher Clark said, \u201cWhatever God requires, requires God\u201d.
