{"id":16293,"date":"2026-09-20T10:35:17","date_gmt":"2026-09-20T15:35:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=16293"},"modified":"2026-09-22T10:39:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T15:39:08","slug":"growing-in-truth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/16293\/growing-in-truth\/","title":{"rendered":"Growing in Truth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hey John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tonight I was listening to one of your sermons, and thoughts started coming to me about truth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Every time we take in some of the Truth of the Spirit, it is like fertilizer to our hearts.\u00a0 Each time it happens, we have a little growth spurt.\u00a0\u00a0The Truth is built upon the Truth!\u00a0 We are the temples of Christ and when we learn a Truth, it&#8217;s like laying another layer of bricks in the wall of our Temple that Jesus is building us into.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the KJV translation (King James verson), it says we learn line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little there a little. \u00a0But line upon line of what?\u00a0 \u00a0Precept upon precept of what?\u00a0 \u00a0Here a little there a little of what? \u00a0Is it not the Truth that it is talking about?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Another thing that came to me tonight is how important it is that we are led and obedient to the Spirit!\u00a0 We are all one body. The Body of Christ at Pastor John&#8217;s House!\u00a0 Every decision I make, to follow the Spirit or not, affects every single person in that Body!\u00a0 Either for the better or for the worse!\u00a0 And every decision each of them makes affects me and the others, either for the better or the worse.\u00a0 We are all connected.\u00a0 When a member is spiritually healthy, the Body is healthier. \u00a0And when a member is weaker, the Body too is weaker.\u00a0 I&#8217;m talking about the decisions we make, no matter where we are.\u00a0 And especially the ones that we make when we are alone.\u00a0 There is no where we can go, and nothing we can do to hide from that responsibility, or sever ourselves from it.\u00a0 Only Jesus can do that!\u00a0 And no one in their right mind wants that to happen!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Billy H.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">========<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>That is true, Billy.\u00a0 All truth is connected, and if we can take in just one truth from God, we have a foundation upon which more truth can be laid.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Pastor John<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hey John, Tonight I was listening to one of your sermons, and thoughts started coming to me about truth.
