{"id":16332,"date":"2026-10-19T09:11:23","date_gmt":"2026-10-19T14:11:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=16332"},"modified":"2026-10-22T09:14:00","modified_gmt":"2026-10-22T14:14:00","slug":"stephen-in-acts-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/16332\/stephen-in-acts-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Stephen in Acts 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hey Pastor John.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When we read Acts 7 last night and read about Stephen I had the same feelings I had about Hannah in 1Samuel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I had always read right over Hannah\u2019s story until I listened to you teach about her in an Old Testament \u00a0class.\u00a0 I love her faith and steadfastness to God.\u00a0 I fell in love with her!\u00a0 She\u2019s one I hope to meet one day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">After reading about Stephen last night I just could not get past him. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We don\u2019t know anything about him until Acts 7 but wow!\u00a0 After reading, I kept thinking of him being brought before the high priest and answering the charges against him.\u00a0 That took something!\u00a0 I thought what strength and encouragement it was for him to look up and see Jesus standing beside God!\u00a0 I thought about what you said this morning about Paul and what kept him going was his love for Jesus.\u00a0 That surely had to be in Stephen\u2019s heart too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To know that kind of love!\u00a0 Whew!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Michelle<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hey Pastor John.
