{"id":16334,"date":"2026-10-22T09:34:47","date_gmt":"2026-10-22T14:34:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=16334"},"modified":"2026-10-22T09:34:47","modified_gmt":"2026-10-22T14:34:47","slug":"tithes-offerings-book","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/16334\/tithes-offerings-book\/","title":{"rendered":"Tithes &amp; Offerings book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good morning!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I recently started reading your book <em>Tithes &amp; Offerings:<\/em> <em>The Right Relationship Between a Pastor and His Congregation.<\/em> (<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/goingtojesus.com\/gtj_books.html?tname=tando\">Going to Jesus.com &#8211; Tithes and Offerings: The Right Relationship Between a Pastor and His Congregation<\/a><\/span>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It really touched me when I read these sentences:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pg. 37<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The way of Christ is simple and pure, and it works. He first raises up a man to represent him and to be a shepherd of souls. Then, he gives that shepherd a flock over which he is to watch and for which he must give account to God. To keep the shepherd free to do his work without unnecessary worldly distraction, the flock supplies the shepherd&#8217;s physical needs, while he supplies their spiritual needs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pg. 39<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The whole nation (of Israel) benefitted by bringing God&#8217;s tithes to His priests and Levites because when the physical needs of those men were provided for, they were free to devote themselves to teaching the people how to please God and be blessed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Thank you for devoting your life to teaching us the things of God! God has taught you, you teach us and our lives are truly overflowing with blessings! We are &#8216;us&#8217; because you listened &amp; continue to listen to Jesus. You have taught us &amp; you continue to teach us. When we take in those things we live a life beyond this world..a life beyond what we ever dreamed would be possible on this earth!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Thank you does not seem like the right words but perhaps in the English language it&#8217;s the best we have!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I hope you get to feeling better soon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Amanda<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good morning!
