Bro John,<\/span><\/p>\n

I was riding down the road by myself this morning and I heard this question posed to me “what are your political affiliations?”\u00a0 It was as if someone real had just asked me the question.<\/span><\/p>\n

I thought to myself, “How\u00a0would I answer that?” \u00a0Then I began, just as if someone was expecting a response, to answer.\u00a0\u00a0And as I was beginning to get these words out,\u00a0trying to explain my thoughts in what felt like an awkward way,\u00a0I was interrupted by\u00a0an answer that I felt like was from God. \u00a0(I think He asked me the\u00a0question and then answered it for me too.)\u00a0 I heard this:\u00a0\u00a0“God’s children are not supposed to be involved in politics. \u00a0In the beginning, God’s chosen people, Israel,\u00a0had no affiliation with politics.\u00a0 God\u00a0was their government.\u00a0 Their\u00a0ruler and their judgment came through God’s anointed Judges,\u00a0never someone\u00a0voted in\u00a0to exercise authority.\u00a0 It was only when Israel\u00a0decided that they did not want God as their ruler and decided that they wanted to be involved in the world’s political system that they ever had to consider such things.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Then the voice continued giving me my answer to that first question, in case I am ever asked it:\u00a0 “God is still the ruler of His children, and His children still have no business contemplating whom to chose to have\u00a0authority over them. \u00a0That is why I do not vote.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Bro. John, I know that I have heard this before. \u00a0But I just wanted to tell it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sounds as if when you were told it,\u00a0you were listening and that God has now re-inforced what you heard.\u00a0 Just pray for the\u00a0men and women who are in positions of authority.\u00a0 The future looks bleak.\u00a0 It appears that\u00a0God has completely taken wisdom from the leaders of this country — this wonderful country that has despised His love and His Son, in spite of the blessings poured out on the American people\u00a0in the past. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

But pray especially for the men to whom God’s people are looking for guidance in these hard times.\u00a0 The wisdom of the Spirit is the only thing that is going to take us safely through what lies ahead.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
