Hi Pastor John<\/p>\n
On my way into work this morning I was listening to the Wednesday night gathering 3\/04\/09 1 Thessalonians 4 & 5\u00a0you ask a question \u201cWhy must we believe on Jesus?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 You were talking about how holy God is, and how that the holiness of God has to be transferred from God to us by the spirit.\u00a0 There is no other way to be holy.\u00a0 While I was listening, before you gave us that answer, I was thinking, “I don\u2019t know what holy is; I don\u2019t know what that means.”<\/p>\n
To me, “holy” was just the same as the word “fellowship” or “God”.\u00a0 But just like fellowship and knowing God, holiness is something that God has to do for us by His Spirit, or we can\u2019t have it.\u00a0 It is not of this world, and beyond anything in this flesh.<\/p>\n
I thought about the scripture in Isaiah 6:5, where Isaiah said, “I am a man with unclean lips!”\u00a0and one of the Seraphim flew over and got a hot coal off of the altar and placed it on his lips. \u00a0God has to do something for us or we can\u2019t stand in His presence.\u00a0 It is far above me!\u00a0 Our God is Holy.<\/p>\n
God help us stand on that Day.<\/p>\n
