Was she not among those earthly family members that thought Jesus was nuts and wanted to haul him off.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Steve W.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">===============<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">Hi Steve.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">Mary does appear, at one point, to be among those relatives of Jesus who thought he was insane, and who came to &#8220;take him&#8221;, probably thinking that he was a disgrace to the family and possibly even a danger to himself and others. \u00a0Here are the verses in Mark 3 which leave that impression:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00a0<span style=\"color:#000000;\">20. And the multitude came together again, so that they could not even eat bread.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">21. And when his kinsmen heard of it, they came out to take him, for they were saying, \u201cHe\u2019s lost his mind.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">. . .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">31. Then his brothers and his mother came, and standing outside, they sent word to him, calling for him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">32. And a crowd was sitting around him, and they said to him, \u201cLook! \u00a0Your mother, and your brothers, and your sisters are outside, looking for you.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">\u00a0<em>From the beginning, Mary pondered in her heart over the things she knew about Jesus (Lk.\u00a02:19, 51). \u00a0She was like everyone else at the time, however. \u00a0She did not understand him. \u00a0We are not told about Mary&#8217;s spiritual journey, but we are told that she was with the disciples in the upper room, waiting for the promise of the Father (Acts\u00a01:14). \u00a0So, she eventually came to believe, even if she was, for a while, as confused as everyone else about this remarkable man from <!--?xml:namespace prefix = \"st1\" ns = \"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags\" \/-->Galilee.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><em>Good question.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><em>Pastor John\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hey Pastor John, At what point did Mary have a change of heart?
