I love this message, John. \u00a0What this tells me is if I want God, I can have him, and nothing can come between him and me. \u00a0And the ones\u00a0who are walking in the same spirit, if something interferes with that, then we have let something in. \u00a0God did not move. \u00a0He is still untouchable by anything that is corrupt<\/span><\/p>\n

Makes me want to stay on guard all the time, as Brother Paul said in a recent meeting, “stay at your post.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The Only Holy Thing that Can Be Destroyed<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>I give thanks to my God upon every remembrance of you,\u00a0<\/i><\/span>always in every prayer of mine making supplication for all of you with joy\u00a0<\/i><\/span>because of your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Neither Satan nor his angels, nor men, can corrupt or destroy God.\u00a0 God is perfect and holy and pure, and with Him, \u201cthere is no shadow of turning.\u201d\u00a0 He cannot be changed by any power, anywhere.\u00a0 Nor is there any power that can corrupt or destroy the Son of God, for the Son is \u201cmost blessed forever,\u201d and he \u201cwill never be moved\u201d (Ps. 21:6-7).\u00a0 Nor can any power corrupt or destroy God\u2019s holy Spirit; it is eternally pure.\u00a0 The only holy thing that can be corrupted and destroyed is the fellowship of God\u2019s children on earth.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fellowship we have together in Christ is a most precious possession that must be guarded in order to keep it.\u00a0 John told the saints that if they would walk together in the light, then they would be cleansed from all sin (1Jn. 1:7).\u00a0 John knew that those saints had already been forgiven and washed from their sins when they received God\u2019s Spirit, but he also knew that there is a deeper cleansing from sin available to the saints who walk together in fellowship.<\/span><\/p>\n

The things which destroy that fellowship are the things that wise saints hate the most.\u00a0 Guard your heart.\u00a0 Keep yourself pure.\u00a0 Stay alert.\u00a0 Never forget that the fellowship we have in Christ can be corrupted and destroyed.\u00a0 Strive for fellowship in the light because through fellowship alone will the body of Christ ever be as clean as it can be.”<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
