Paul said:\u00a0 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Preacher Clark’s “pearls” of wisdom from the Old meeting CD’s are sweet, sobering nuggets of God to my soul.\u00a0 I love them!\u00a0 They are “things that are true”.\u00a0 He learned obedience by the things that he suffered.\u00a0 His words were not vain words.\u00a0\u00a0They were Life to those who believed then and they are Life to those who believe now.<\/span><\/p>\n

So good!<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are just a few GCC Pearls, taken from various CD’s of the Old Prayer meetings at your grandmother’s farmhouse that Brother Earl recorded on his old reel-to-reel during the 1960’s and 70’s:<\/span><\/p>\n

“I\u2019ll tell you one thing.\u00a0 You\u2019re going to pay for the truth.\u00a0 It\u2019s going to cost you everything you ever hoped to be, and you ever could have been, or ever wanted to have been.”<\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll put [the righteousness of God] on, just like charity; it will come on you from God.\u00a0 And it does come on when you find God.\u00a0 But what about when you find God, and you exercise yourself by it, and you\u2019re scorned and you\u2019re put down, and after a while you get tired of that?<\/span><\/p>\n

Your relatives, they don\u2019t like for you to be there.\u00a0 They say, “You don\u2019t have to throw yourself away.”<\/em> Did [people] ever tell you that?\u00a0 They used to tell me that.\u00a0 They said, “You don\u2019t have to throw yourself away just because you get into holiness.”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“Oh, yes you do have to throw yourself away!”<\/span><\/p>\n
