{"id":4096,"date":"2014-01-15T16:42:15","date_gmt":"2014-01-15T16:42:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=4096"},"modified":"2014-01-15T16:42:15","modified_gmt":"2014-01-15T16:42:15","slug":"exodus-32","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/4096\/exodus-32\/","title":{"rendered":"Exodus 32"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Hi, Pastor John:<!--?xml:namespace prefix = \"o\" ns = \"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office\" \/--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I was reading in Exodus 32 about Aaron getting gold earrings from <!--?xml:namespace prefix = \"st1\" ns = \"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags\" \/-->Israel , and then making the golden calf.\u00a0 When Moses came down, he saw it, and the Levites put to death 3000 people.\u00a0 I often wondered why Aaron, along with all the others, was not put to death by Moses. \u00a0The reason, given to us in the Bible, is that\u00a0Moses pleaded with God not to destroy Israel and start over with him, as God had offered to do,\u00a0because it would give the enemies of God reason to blaspheme.
