God instructed Moses in Ex. 28:29, “And Aaron shall bear the breast plate of judgment upon his heart when he goeth into the holy place, for a memorial before the Lord continually. “

After reading this, my mind started reflecting on what Jesus did and is still doing for us. Jesus is our high priest now. I believe that Paul said the law was a shadow (a type) of good things to come. As we know, the Old Covenant was an outward covenant and the new Covenant is a matter of the heart (inward). Aaron could not have Israel’s names really written on his heart, but Jesus can. Jesus is ever before his Father, continually bearing our names in his heart before his Daddy.

I had to stop there and cry and thank God for his Son. Whatever good or bad times we go though, Jesus has our name on his heart before God’s throne. His judgments are right and true because they come directly from the Father concerning each and every one of His children. And to think that our names were written in the Lamb’s book of life before the foundation of world is very humbling, just like the children of Israel’s names were written on the precious stones even before Aaron came into the holy place. This new testament is alive and it is life. We are lively, precious stones on Jesus’ heart. It’s really something to think about who we are, what we are, and what we mean to the Son and the Father. Jesus and the Father think of us daily. His mercies are new every day.

It feels different going through the O ld Testament this time. For me, I feel I have more of a grateful and thankful attitude. Reading your book about the Father and Son really gives you a thankful spirit when reading about the Law. There are a lot of wonderful things to take in about the Law concerning Jesus (our brother).

There is so much more to say about the feelings from reading your book and the law, but the feelings are ”better felt than told”, I heard one say.

Love always,

billy

Hi Pastor John, This is where we are in our O.
