Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n

Last night Jenny and I went\u00a0to Cathy’s and\u00a0watched the move\u00a0“God’s Not Dead”.\u00a0 I left with the thought, what about repentance?\u00a0 What about being filled with the holy Ghost? \u00a0<\/span>In the movie, there is a professor who is teaching his students that God is dead, that He doesn’t exist.\u00a0 Throughout the whole movie, this is his stand.\u00a0\u00a0Then we\u00a0find out he was mad at God because when he was a little boy, his mother died of cancer.\u00a0 He had begged God not to take her, but she died anyway.\u00a0 A<\/span>fter his girlfriend left him and his student made his point that God is indeed alive, it looked liked he was having a change of heart when he was hit by a car.\u00a0 This preacher man ran over to him and asked him to accept Jesus so that he could die in peace, and the man said he did accept Jesus and he died.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was terrible, this horrible lie that people are being fed. \u00a0Christians are skipping the very thing that Jesus did die for – true repentance to receive the holy Ghost! They are skipping the peace, the joy and the comfort that Jesus suffered to give us.\u00a0 They are being satisfied with a momentary feeling of the Spirit without going on to the main course, the goodness, the meat of life!<\/span><\/p>\n

It is heartbreaking! \u00a0I was thinking about how sad all this made me feel, and then I thought how Jesus must feel.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are so incredibly blessed!\u00a0 The food that you feed us, the wonderful lives that Jesus has given us!\u00a0 To be full, satisfied, content, happy, joyful and to know the comfort of life in Jesus, in the precious truth that He has allowed us to love!<\/span><\/p>\n

Whew…… It just makes your heart feel like bursting!<\/span><\/p>\n

\nYes, Michelle, it is heartbreaking to see Christians try to combat the spirits of this world with something else that is of this world. \u00a0Nothing but the power of God will save anybody. \u00a0Claiming to believe in Jesus won’t do it. \u00a0Only Him claiming us, by baptizing us into His family, counts in heaven.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

May God help them, and all of us who love Jesus, to humble ourselves completely at his feet, where true peace is.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
