I like th\u200be new section on “Because He Wanted a Child”.\u00a0 I had\u00a0a thought, God is not a loner–He wants to share his thoughts and feelings and life\u200b.<\/span><\/p>\n

This\u00a0\u200bnew section \u200bof the Father and Son\u00a0book (below) is really good.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u200bI like the way you have explained that the Father creates only what he wants to create therefore He created a son because He wanted to.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve been thinking lately on how precious each person is who accepts the invitation of the Father to come to Jesus and remain in the truth. The Father\u00a0creates the invitation in us simply because He wants to.<\/span><\/p>\n

I can hardly take that thought in\u200b, but I am very grateful that He wanted each of us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because He Wanted a Child<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Many ancient prophecies had a dual meaning, one for that time and another for the future.\u00a0 For example, in Isaiah 28:11-12, God was telling the righteous among His people that foreign invaders would bring them rest from their oppressive Jewish rulers.\u00a0 But Paul also quoted those verses in 1Corinthians\u00a014:21\u201322, claiming that God was speaking through Isaiah of the New Testament experience of \u201cspeaking in tongues\u201d.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Malachi\u00a02:15\u00a0may provide us with another word from God with a dual meaning.\u00a0 It is a mysterious verse, difficult to translate, as a survey of various translations will show, but its meaning for Malachi\u2019s time was obviously to provide God\u2019s reason for insisting on Israelite men being faithful to their Israelite wives:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Malachi 2<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

15a. But did He not make one?\u00a0 And the rest of the spirit was His.\u00a0 And why one?\u00a0 He was seeking a godly seed.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

But this portion of scripture also appears to have been a not-so-obvious revelation concerning God\u2019s reason for creating His Son, and it may also be translated thus:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Malachi 2<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

15a. Did He not create one in whom is the fullness of the Spirit?\u00a0 And why him?\u00a0 Because He wanted a divine child.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

If God created whatever He created only because He wanted to create it (Ps. 135:6), then it is only reasonable to believe that God created a Son simply because He wanted one, as Malachi said here.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
