That seems somewhat hard to do.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">This link (Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary &#8211; World Christian Database)<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<a style=\"color:#0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.worldchristiandatabase.org\/wcd\/about\/denominations.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.worldchristiandatabase.org\/wcd\/about\/denominations.asp<\/a> <span style=\"color:#000000;\">suggests there are over 9,000 denominations but if you go here<\/span>\u00a0<a style=\"color:#0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bringyou.to\/apologetics\/a106.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.bringyou.to\/apologetics\/a106.htm<\/a> <span style=\"color:#000000;\">they get to suggesting there were 33,000 in the world in the Year 2000.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">If you go to<\/span>\u00a0<a style=\"color:#0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_Christian_denominations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_Christian_denominations<\/a> <span style=\"color:#000000;\">you can scroll down the page and be staggered at the lists of denominational names.\u00a0 There a couple of charts showing the history of division in christianity as well.\u00a0 Really, it defies description. It is confusion.\u00a0 Which is how I got to this.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I had looked up the word Babylon wanting to check its meaning.\u00a0 What I found interested me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">In Hebrew it is from\u00a0<em>babel <\/em>apparently meaning confusion, but this word comes from another word\u00a0<em>balal<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">The definitions for this word were interesting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">1) to mix, mingle, confuse, confound<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">It showed me that Babylon is confusion but it is confusion arising from a mixing or mingling.
