{"id":486,"date":"2009-08-30T14:52:19","date_gmt":"2009-08-30T18:52:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/Correspondence\/?p=486"},"modified":"2009-08-30T14:52:19","modified_gmt":"2009-08-30T18:52:19","slug":"reading-about-the-kings-this-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/486\/reading-about-the-kings-this-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"reading about the kings this morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">John:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">As I read in 1Chronicles this morning, I thought about how much God loved his people.\u00a0 When the people wanted a king, God said they had rejected Him.\u00a0 Yet God gave them what they wanted.\u00a0 Then the king did all the things God warned them he would do, and sometimes even worse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">This question comes to my mind.\u00a0 If a person rejected me, would I still work to take care of them and help them with the zeal which God did? \u00a0I am glad that, even when they reject him, God is willing to touch somebody&#8217;s heart for their good.\u00a0 God put it David&#8217;s heart to do His will.\u00a0 David&#8217;s boldness, wisdom, and love for Israel didn&#8217;t come from David.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">This in itself should encourage us to keep after God, to tune us in to his will.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Br Wendell<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John: As I read in 1Chronicles this morning, I thought about how much God loved his people.\u00a0 When the people wanted a king, God said they had rejected Him.\u00a0 Yet God gave them what they wanted.\u00a0 Then the king did all the things God warned them he would do, and sometimes even worse.
