{"id":4983,"date":"2014-11-03T23:22:37","date_gmt":"2014-11-03T23:22:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=4983"},"modified":"2014-11-03T23:22:37","modified_gmt":"2014-11-03T23:22:37","slug":"suffering-and-the-saints","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/4983\/suffering-and-the-saints\/","title":{"rendered":"Suffering and the Saints"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.goingtojesus.com\/suffering-and-the-saints.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff;font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:medium;\">http:\/\/www.goingtojesus.com\/suffering-and-the-saints.html<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Hi John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I just finished reading chapter 1 of the Suffering and the Saints book. \u00a0What a testament to the love of God for his people! \u00a0As I read about the suffering that Joseph endured by the hand of God, it brought tears to my eyes, not for the suffering but for the love and the great reward that his real father (God) bestowed upon him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">What an honor and a privilege it was for Joseph, for God to use him the way He did, for the purpose of saving his family and a whole nation from famine. Joseph learned the lesson; he understood who was in control of his life. Granted, it was no short or easy lesson. \u00a0I am sure he poured out his heart to God and shed many tears over the course of years, but he got it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I pondered on my own life. \u00a0Have I gotten what God wants me to have and understand from the things I have suffered? \u00a0Did I complain? \u00a0Did I mistreat the ones it was brought by? \u00a0Do I hold anything against them? \u00a0If I do, then I missed the mark.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">John, I am so thankful and grateful that my eyes can read such things and my ears can hear such things as God has given to you for His people. And God has done it.
