{"id":4988,"date":"2014-11-07T21:31:28","date_gmt":"2014-11-07T21:31:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=4988"},"modified":"2014-11-07T21:31:28","modified_gmt":"2014-11-07T21:31:28","slug":"thought-for-the-evening-11-08-shadow-of-the-rock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/4988\/thought-for-the-evening-11-08-shadow-of-the-rock\/","title":{"rendered":"Thought for the Evening 11-08, Shadow of the Rock"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Pastor John,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">A king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.\u00a0 And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest, as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.&#8221; (Isaiah, 32:1-2)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">\u00a0Reading this, Thought for the Evening is wonderful!!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color:#000000;\"> &#8220;\u2019The shadow of the rock\u2019 is nothing more than a poetic way of referring to a man who is anointed by Christ for the blessing of his people.\u00a0 Whenever God anoints a man, that man becomes a place of refreshing for the saints because he is where the anointing of God is.\u00a0 A faithful, anointed man of God is a refuge for God&#8217;s saints from the spirits of this age.\u00a0 An anointed man of God is like a watered fountain in a dry land (Isa. 58:11), a shadow of a huge Rock in a burning, hot desert.\u201d<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color:#000000;\"> (This is all from the Thought for the Evening, 11-08)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">And we have that, and I am so thankful for you, Pastor John.\u00a0 \u00a0You are that man that acts as a shadow of that great Rock.
