{"id":5963,"date":"2015-06-16T15:29:25","date_gmt":"2015-06-16T15:29:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=5963"},"modified":"2015-06-16T15:29:25","modified_gmt":"2015-06-16T15:29:25","slug":"malachi-45-6-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/5963\/malachi-45-6-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Malachi 4:5-6. #2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Hi John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I always thought these verses from Malachi 4:5-6, also in part at least,\u00a0were prophetic of John the Baptist:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Luk 1:17-18\u00a0 &#8220;<strong>And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years&#8230;&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Mat 17:10-13\u00a0 &#8220;And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? \u00a0 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.\u00a0 But I say unto you,\u00a0<strong>That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed.
