{"id":6032,"date":"2015-07-05T18:38:22","date_gmt":"2015-07-05T18:38:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=6032"},"modified":"2015-07-05T18:38:22","modified_gmt":"2015-07-05T18:38:22","slug":"heart-praying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/6032\/heart-praying\/","title":{"rendered":"Heart Praying"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Good evening Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">A conversation with sister Natalie today reminded me of a lesson that Jesus taught me years ago.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I used to pray &#8220;hard&#8221; when my feelings weren&#8217;t in line with the Spirit of God, instead of with more heart (as Sandy so perfectly described it: &#8220;hard praying versus heart praying&#8221;).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I would pray under a self imposed strain, trying to push through to God, to get realigned. Pushing in prayer made me feel more out of alignment and I would then respond by trying harder. \u00a0Then the Spirit told me something that would forever help me to consider my prayer life. That was this: &#8220;God will never meet you in the flesh, if He did, you would never leave it.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I learned after that, that when I was out of alignment with Jesus&#8217; Spirit,\u00a0 I needed to let go completely and just float to the surface.
