Bro. John:Today, I read a wonderful TFE, “True Humility” (1-10) from Thoughts for the Evening 2005.\u00a0 What I loved about it when I finished reading was the simplicity that was there in the explanation of what true humility is – “humility is demonstrated by doing the will of God instead of doing your own will.”<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of reading this, I thought of how simple Jesus is.\u00a0 If “humility” is demonstrated by doing the will of God instead of doing your own will, then “pride” is the opposite – pride is demonstrated by not doing the will of God, but instead, doing your own will.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is no need to consult Webster’s for a definition of humility or pride.\u00a0 Just look to see who is doing the will of God and who is not.\u00a0 That is just so good and so simple!<\/span><\/p>\n

To be like Jesus is to stay humble by always choosing to do the will of the Father.\u00a0 Sometimes that means to be “meek and lowly”, and sometimes that means to “rule with a rod of iron.”<\/span><\/p>\n

What is humility?\u00a0 Doing the will of God.<\/span>
\n What is pride?\u00a0 Not doing the will of God.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you for these simple truths that refresh the soul!<\/span><\/p>\n
