{"id":7067,"date":"2016-03-02T14:25:12","date_gmt":"2016-03-02T14:25:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=7067"},"modified":"2016-03-02T14:25:12","modified_gmt":"2016-03-02T14:25:12","slug":"contradiction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/7067\/contradiction\/","title":{"rendered":"Contradiction?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Good Morning:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I was pondering a couple of scriptures\u00a0(\u00a0below\u00a0)\u00a0the other day, wondering how they fit together.\u00a0 Quite often with scriptures\u00a0(\u00a0more numerous than a man can number\u00a0)\u00a0there are examples or seem to be examples\u00a0of two\u00a0scriptures contradicting each other\u00a0.\u00a0 If you think of the bread\u00a0in the scripture\u00a0below as not being physical\u00a0,\u00a0then it has a different meaning altogether\u00a0,\u00a0and there is no contradiction since in Paul&#8217;s case\u00a0,\u00a0\u00a0he had to be buffeted by Satan due the abundance of revelations he was given.\u00a0 Of course\u00a0,\u00a0I also considered\u00a0that\u00a0Paul didn&#8217;t say he was begging for bread\u00a0;\u00a0he just stated he had a need.\u00a0 I sure hope there were some in this congregation wh\u00a0o\u00a0begged Paul maybe in private to help\u00a0. Just seems like there would have been a few, even if Paul didn&#8217;t mention them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">\u00a0 Ps 37:25\u00a0 \u201cI have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">\u00a0 1Cor.\u00a04:11\u00a0\u201cEven unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place;\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">The statements by Paul above reminds me of the scene when David was given bread out of the temple\u00a0,\u00a0since that was all that was available.\u00a0It has always made me tremble to think of God&#8217;s servants having a need not being met, but while typing this\u00a0,\u00a0I am reminded of what your Father said\u00a0,\u00a0if my memory is correct\u00a0, about a\u00a0person who\u00a0helped him when they shouldn&#8217;t\u00a0have, because God was dealing with him\u00a0.\u00a0Jesus,\u00a0please help us all know what to do,\u00a0as your children become enlightened with the truth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">In the scripture below I am thinking her delicacies would be financial gain, respect, and being highly esteemed among men?\u00a0 It seems good to think on these things,\u00a0with all the politics in the air.\u00a0It helps keep things in perspective.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">\u00a0 Rev. 18:3 \u201cFor all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I thank God for the path we have been given to be removed from entanglement with governmental affairs. Oh\u00a0,&#8221;Come out of her my people\u00a0,\u00a0and partake not of her sins, and not receive of her plagues&#8230;\u00a0&#8221; (Rev. 18:4)\u00a0I pray\u00a0His children can hear this voice.\u00a0It is\u00a0His\u00a0,\u00a0and I heard it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Today is the day the Lord has made!
