{"id":7711,"date":"2016-07-13T00:49:53","date_gmt":"2016-07-13T00:49:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=7711"},"modified":"2016-07-13T00:49:53","modified_gmt":"2016-07-13T00:49:53","slug":"tonight-july-13-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/7711\/tonight-july-13-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Tonight (July 13, 2016)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I felt like\u00a0tonight\u00a0we were in neutral, as a group.\u00a0 Like a car out of gear, we could roll in any direction, any direction the Spirit moved us. I felt like you were inviting Jesus to do that, to move us, to speak to us; asking Him to do anything that He pleased, as we waited for Him, idle and without preference. It was good \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I felt like we found some spiritual pay dirt when we started talking about pride. I felt the hook set, so to speak. It felt like there was something rich there, below the surface.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">During that time I heard the Spirit say, &#8220;All pride is against God.&#8221;\u00a0 I repeated that sentence in my mind several times and then had some thoughts that\u00a0 I\u00a0<em>believe\u00a0<\/em>were attached to that statement:\u00a0 Pride is mocking God. Pride is imitating, pretending authority in the face of the only one true Authority. Pride pretends to be what only God is. To be lifted up in pride is to openly walk in a declaration of war against God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">You pointed out\u00a0tonight\u00a0that, &#8220;We need to hear from God. God doesn&#8217;t need to hear from us.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">You also said that all of our answers to all of our problems is God speaking the words, &#8220;Let there be&#8230;..&#8221; on our behalf.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">The fact that\u00a0<em>that\u00a0<\/em>is true, reinforces that we have absolutely nothing to be proud about.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">We have nothing to add to God. \u00a0He contributes everything to this relationship.
