Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n

I don’t have the words to describe what we experienced this evening; I watched it through the computer. \u00a0To use words like “amazing” or “wonderful”, to describe what happened just seems inadequate. \u00a0Heavenly might be an acceptable word. Not in the sense that this world uses the word, but really Heavenly because what was said tonight\u00a0and what was felt – what we were\u00a0given –\u00a0was\u00a0not of this world.\u00a0It doesn’t exist here, except when poured out by God from over there.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I want to tell what I heard from Jesus while you were preaching\u00a0tonight. You were telling about a time in the not-so-distant past when the “charismatic movement” began, when God was pouring out His Spirit in a\u00a0big<\/strong>\u00a0way on people spread throughout (what seemed to be) every sect and denomination of Christian religion, everywhere. \u00a0That outpouring of the Spirit was during the lifetime of your father’s work, preacher Clark.<\/span><\/p>\n

You said God was pouring His Spirit out on folk everywhere then, and that “many of the Pentecostals didn’t like it! \u00a0Some of them were even mad about it.”\u00a0\u00a0 But then you went on to say, “My father\u00a0loved<\/em>\u00a0that it was happening!” The Spirit then spoke to me and said,\u00a0<\/strong>“That’s because his religion wasn’t ‘Pentecostal’, it was ‘the Spirit’.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I loved that!\u00a0 It made it all perfectly clear. \u00a0Your father’s religion was “Spirit”. God’s Spirit!\u00a0 That’s all. \u00a0There is no way to get tripped up with that. \u00a0Happy wherever the Spirit lands! \u00a0Amen to more of it!<\/span><\/p>\n

It reminded me of the scripture from 2Corinthians\u00a03:17,\u00a0\u00a0 “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” \u00a0And your father, with his determination to worship God in “Spirit and in truth” only, as the Lord commanded, had that liberty, to love it! \u00a0No matter\u00a0where\u00a0it fell!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
