My family and I read Psalm 19 this morning.\u00a0 Our few comments as we looked at KJV in parallel are below:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u2022 19:6 \u2013 We thought the KJV showed the sun rising from one end of heaven to the other in it\u2019s circuit a little clearer.\u00a0 \u201ccircuit to their ends\u201d was a little hard to follow.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 19:12\u00a0\u2013 The KJV says \u201csecret faults\u201d and your new translation uses \u201chidden things.\u201d\u00a0 Hidden things made me think of something outside of David.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you so much!\u00a0 We cannot produce the kind of translation we would like to produce without input from others who read what we have done.\u00a0 So, thanks again for your comments.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I usually edit our translations after we all have read them.\u00a0 This is how I edited Psalm 19:6 after I sent it out for everybody to read:<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHis going forth is from the end of heaven, and his circuit to the ends of it, and nothing is hidden from his heat.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>As for\u00a019:12, the problem for us was that the Hebrew word for \u201cfault\u201d is not in the text.\u00a0 However, after you mentioned this, I looked at it again, and I think we would be justified in saying that David was referring again to the \u201cerrors\u201d which he mentioned in the first half of the verse.\u00a0 It would mean something like this:\u00a0 \u201cWho can know his errors?\u00a0 Hold me guiltless for hidden ones [that is, for my errors that are hidden from me]!\u201d<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With that in mind, I have now edited verse 12 thus:<\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

12. Who can know\u00a0his\u00a0<\/i>errors?\u00a0 Hold me guiltless for hidden faults!<\/span><\/p>\n

I like that translation better, and again, I thank you for the comments.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
