On Wednesday June 22nd, 2010 I was getting very sick at the beach. My head was filling up with congestion and my throat was getting sore. My left ear was beginning to hurt too. Moreover I was becoming weak and tired.
Jesus had healed a brother, Taylor, the night before of this same sickness that was going around and Lou Finch & Billy Mellick of other major problems. I knew healing was available because I had seen it happen and I begin to seek it. I did as Bro. Taylor did in his testimony and did not let the sickness change my plans.
I went to bed a little early and slept well. I woke up at 3 in the morning and I was freezing cold. I had been sleeping cold and I knew I was really sick. There were only 2 days left in the beach trip with my family and I had so many people I wanted to spend time with, especially Naomi, my daughter. I said, "Oh no I don't want to be sick. Lord why are you making me sick?" Then the thought came to me, "You haven't asked Me not to be sick." And at the same time I remembered Sister Lou saying, "We grumble and we complain but we don't really ask Jesus to make us well." So I ask Him, "Jesus please make me well."
I started to feel the coldness go away and the sickness to leave in layers, as I fell back asleep. When I woke up Thursday morning, it was gone and I was well and able to play on the beach with everyone until the trip was over. Thank you Jesus! You are so good. Jesus wants us to come to him and to seek him. He wants to take care of us and love us. He is so good.
