A few years back the Lord gave me a healing that I would like to share with you.
I had twisted my knee playing golf one day and it kept getting worse and worse as time went on. It would hurt just walking and climbing stairs. It got so bad that I went to the doctor and he gave me a cortisone shot in it, and that helped for awhile, but the pain came back. I would pray, “God touch my knee” as I would rub it from time to time.
I made another trip to the doctor and they did a MRI on my knee. They told me that I had a slight tear in my meniscus and that they would have to scope it to clean it up to relieve the pain. I did not set up any surgery at that time. Meanwhile, we were having a gathering at brother Gary’s house one weekend, and Pastor John and some of the other saints from NC were coming up for the weekend.
That Sunday morning when we got together a dear sister in the Lord, sister Dot, got up and asked for prayer. You could tell she was hurting bad and needed some relief. I felt such a compassion for her in my heart that I could not wait to get my hands on her and pray for her. Her pain was my pain and I wanted God to touch her and to heal her.
As we put our hands on her to pray for her, I could feel the power of God flowing from everyone to her and I was praying “God touch her, please, and heal her.” As soon as I said those words, the spirit of God spoke back to me and said, “I am going to touch her and heal your knee as well.” I was amazed. I was not even thinking about my knee or how I was feeling. I just had sister Dot on my mind and her pain. He healed my knee that day, and it has been fine ever since. Our God is a healer and He cares how we feel every day. I thank Him for touching sister Dot that day and healing my knee as well.
