Tonight felt so sweet. Token’s dream and the reading really brought a sweet feeling with them. Then the meeting was ending, and Gary and Joel began to sing about the wind. In our science class today, the kids and I were discussing “wind” in our study of the weather. I couldn’t help but ask the kids if they could see the wind, or if they could feel it and hear it instead. We discussed Nicodemus and what Jesus told him about being born again and how Jesus compared the new birth to the wind and the sound that is heard. So when Gary and Joel started singing about the wind, Daniel looked at me with excited eyes and a smile. Jesus does this very often, with our school days relating to something that is said in the meetings. It is so encouraging to me! Daniel was already sitting next to me on the love seat when the song began. After he heard it a little bit, he scooted on over next to me and snuggled up. Tears of thankfulness that Jesus is hearing and answering my prayers were wetting the top of his little head. Then he looked up at me and said very tenderly, “I love you, Mama.” It was one of those priceless, genuine moments. We couldn’t tell who it was that said they felt like hugging someone, but I squeezed Daniel a little tighter and smiled. I feel very thankful.

I just have to write an email to say how very thankful I am to have been in the meetings over Thanksgiving. Live stream is great, but it can’t compare to being in the room with God’s people. When the first meeting was about to start, I felt like my heart was about to burst it was almost too much to take in. I’m so thankful that I was able to dance before the Lord. I just kept thanking him over and over for letting me love it! To watch Samuel and Samantha go up for prayer was such a blessing. We have needed it! These are things that I have daydreamed about for a long time now.
When I was going through everything when I had Grace, I remember testifying afterwards that English words couldn’t describe the thankfulness and love I was feeling for what Jesus and everyone had done for us. I feel the same way now. I’m so thankful for the prayers and love from everyone. Thankful that Jesus has kept me on this path. It makes me love him all the more!

Thank you for sending the Father and Son excerpt on the Temptation. I love this part of the book.* Yesterday, I was reading through this (skipping around in the sections) and I had already read the part where you explained the influence of unclean spirits over the nations before I read footnote 6 in “A new kind of warfare”. When I read that footnote, all of those thoughts together sparked something in me. It was like another reinforcement of the message “it isn’t me.” This is our warfare, too, and those unclean spirits are not us. That was so good to me.
I loved the part of Darren’s song this weekend that talked about our sins being forgiven when we were baptized by the holy Ghost and spoke in tongues. Who we were before then is irrelevant. Jesus washed all my sins away. I am not the person I was before. 🙂
I woke up this morning hearing a song that Sister Barbara Pendergrass sung in the meeting the last time she was here, “There is power in the name of Jesus…to break every chain.” Amen!

Brother John,
I sure enjoy watching Brother Coy enjoy Jesus in the meeting tonight. It feels so good to watch him love the feelings of the Spirit of God! Some things that he said tonight as he testified of Jesus, things regarding “hearing a new thing” and “wanting to hear something he had never heard before”, flipped a switch inside me as I listened. It felt like Jesus showed me something.
Solomon said, “there is no new thing under the sun,” and we know he was right. Even science has recognized that nothing can be created or destroyed, by men, on this Earth. Everything on this Earth is either rearranged, rebuilt, reshaped, reconstructed, rehashed or repaired…etc. But it is never, can never, be new. It is always a reconstructing of something here. Nothing is new.
But there is one thing that is new, the Word of God! It is brand new every time it pierces the invisible barrier that surrounds this old and dying creation. It is brand new every time it is delivered to a chosen vessel on this Earth. How precious is that? I couldn’t shake those thoughts tonight. It brought me to tears. How valuable is the Word of God? A word from God? How rare and special? It is the only new thing within this creation, when It comes.
To understand that!
There are thousands if not millions of folk, all of the time, speaking a countless number of words about God. Lifeless, dead words, rearranged, but never new. But one word FROM God is worth more than all of those rearranged words combined. God’s word is alive, and it injects something new and alive, undying, into this creation every time It is delivered to a soul on Earth. It changes this creation every time it enters in to it. It is the only thing that does! It is the only thing here that isn’t a rearrangement of existing material.
All of mankind should be clamoring for a word from our Creator!
I hope that I can understand and hold on to what God gave me a glimpse of this evening. It felt so valuable.

Amen, Jerry. There was something special about Brother Coy’s testimony tonight. How much wisdom in Christ he has, wisdom that proud people will never see. I am thankful that you heard what the Spirit was saying to you in Coy’s testimony and that you passed it on to us. Those were valuable thoughts.

Your teachings on Holy Spirit Baptism and Tongues Speaking being received by believers of God as evidence of salvation and control of sins is very astounding.
Do I have to believe that millions of professing Christians, Catholics, Anglican, Methodists, Presbys, including their Priests, Bishops, etc who do not speaks tongues are not saved?
Pastor! I know you are very enlightened more than I can value because evidence of tongues speaking has been baffling my mind for quite a long period of time. Very often my understanding tells me that those who speak tongues are given by the Holy Spirit as He wishes, and even Holy spirit baptism generally is an evidence of spiritual fruits being demonstrated in a true believer, hence tongues speaking becomes an added gift to proof to the authenticity of God’s power over heaven and earth.
Pastor, I know you are thousands of miles far away from me, had it not been so i would have contacted you to baptize me to enable me obtain those gifts because I dearly love to evangelize for God for the rest of my life. Currently I am an Elder of one branch of our church and I am unable to tell whether I have the holy spirit baptism let alone tongues speaking as against your teachings.
I am at your feet further counseling.

Dear Sir:
Thank you for writing. Please keep in touch with your thoughts and feelings. I will answer your concerns as plainly as I know how.
You obviously understand what I am teaching; namely, the baptism Jesus died for us to have is the baptism that puts us into the body of Christ (1Cor. 12:13). It is obviously also that your heart is telling you that what I am teaching is true, but your mind is unwilling to accept it, based on how many Christians around the world do not teach the same thing. It is a mistake to judge truth based on the number of people who do not believe it. Didn’t Jesus say that only a few would ever find the right way?
Secondly, my friend Augustine, not only is it true that “millions of professing Christians, Catholics, Anglican, Methodists, Presbys, including their Priests, Bishops, etc who do not speaks tongues are not saved”, but you aren’t saved either, and neither am I or anyone else still alive on this earth. Salvation is the reward that obedient children of God receive at the end of their earthly lives; it is not the beginning (1Pet. 1:9). That is what Jesus said, more than once, “He who endures to the end, the same shall be saved.”
Concerning your use of the word “saved”: I think you mean to ask me if I am teaching that all those millions of Christians you named are not yet born again. You can answer that for yourself by answering this: Has Jesus baptized all those millions of Christians with the holy Ghost? Now, if the Spirit has not spoken through them, the answer to that question has to be no because Jesus told Nicodemus that the Spirit makes a sound through every person who is born of the Spirit (Jn. 3:7–8). That mighty wind blew on the disciples on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, and they were born again that way, just as Jesus said to Nicodemus.
Lastly, you said in your letter that speaking in tongues is a gift. I know that most Christians are taught that, but it is not true. The gift is “diverse tongues” (1Cor. 12), which is an added dimension of speaking in tongues, just as the gift of faith is an added measure and dimension of having faith. Everyone with the gift of faith had faith before they received the gift of faith, and everyone with the gift of diverse tongues spoke in tongues before they received the gift of diverse tongues.
All those millions of Christians you mentioned will all tell you that I am wrong. And I tell you that they are all wrong. Faced with such a difference in teaching, a wise man will go to Jesus and ask him who is telling the truth, and I hope you will do that.

Hi Pastor John,
I loved reading John last night, especially the 9th chapter about the blind man. The hairs on my arm were standing at attention, I felt so bubbly inside. Here is (was) a blind man healed by Jesus and “put out” of the Synagogue, and Jesus went to find him. This ex-blind man may have been hurt or discouraged (or not) about being put out, but I loved his attitude when he bowed down to Jesus once he understood that Jesus was the one who restored his sight. He was so thankful he could see, that nothing else mattered, even to be ousted from the Synagogue.
I pray that I stay just as thankful as that blind man, for Jesus opening my eyes to this wonderful Truth and healing me, and that I will keep growing to know (see) and understand the one who opened them.

This really stuck out to me [from your recent Blog, Missing Spirits]:
“The fear of the Lord is clean, David said (Ps. 19:9), and it makes those who possess it clean because it makes them hate evil (Proverbs 8:13). But those without the fear of God become more and more wicked because they have no reason not to do so – they think.”
The other day, Sister Willie was saying what a clean woman I have been. When she said the word “clean” it seemed to jump out at me. Something about that word felt so good to me. What a blessing to thank God for being clean! What freedom to feel clean! There’s no looking over your back, no lies, no covering your tracks, but just clean. It’s having the right intentions and no hidden motives. What a hard life to live the other way. So when I read what you wrote, above, all I could say was, “Yes!” To fear the Lord is clean, and I thank Him for letting me have that fear. I thank Him for a clean life and wanting to please Him. Whew, that all was really good!

PS After writing my email tonight, I wanted to a little Bible study on clean. Here are the verses that I found.
2 Samuel 22:21- The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.
2 Samuel 22:25-The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in his sight.
Job 17:9- Nevertheless, the righteous will hold to their ways, and those with clean hands will grow stronger.
Psalm 18:20- The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.
Psalm 19:9- The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
Psalm 51:10- Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Proverbs 16:2- All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.
2 Corinthians 7:1- Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Revelation 19:14- The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. (AMEN!)
Morning Pastor John,
I was reading Venus’ post this morning on Facebook about her biopsy. As I read the responses from everyone, I was really moved. I began to pray for Venus and the Spirit spoke and said ” We don’t call Him our Saviour for nothing.” It was very matter of fact and very quick.
I sat there kinda of stunned because it happened so quickly. The tone was very much like something your father or Uncle Joe might have said. I thought I would pass that on. I felt all the worry leave afterwards. Not much room for worry after hearing that.
