  • Billy’s Testimony

    Hi, Pastor John;

    I remembered that I had experienced this in 2001. It brought back some wonderful feelings.

  • Marinating in Love

    Hi Pastor John!

    Jesus showed my heart something this week that I really want to share.

    I was flipping through the radio stations in my car. I had decided to just turn it off when a preacher came on saying, “We are His bride, we are the bride of Christ”. I turned the station off but I was thinking about what that really means. All of a sudden Jesus showed my heart a picture. I saw a dirty young woman in rags. She was filthy and just really dirty. Then I saw Jesus come to this dirty young girl and take her hand. I had such a feeling of awe come over me. I said, “Jesus you come for us when we are filthy dirty and full of sin, and you come to us to marry us. How can you want to marry us when we are so wretched”.

    I kind of marinated on this a day or two and today Jesus gave me more! I just had a whole understanding from Jesus.

    Jesus comes when we are dirty and broken. When we are undesirable to everyone, even those who claim to love us. Then Jesus purifies us, bathes us in rich oils and the purest of love. This took my breath away. This didn’t just happen in the days of kings, this happens today. This is exactly what Jesus did for me and really all of us. Jesus bathes us in heavenly oils, removing a stain here and a blemish there, teaching us  about Him and the Father, holiness and goodness, until we are clean and ready. Whew! I feel broken under His love. I feel like whatever junk wouldn’t fit into that door to get to Jesus, is just a broken mush. That might not sound good but oh it feels so wonderful!

    Then Jesus showed me that is what He did for me. When Jerry and I re-connected, I was a complete mess. I had numerous addictions. I was tired and hopeless. Everything in Jerry should have ran…but God. Jerry has said that he wanted to run many many times, but that God made him stand still even if it was going to hurt.  As God has removed this stain and that stain from me, Jesus put it in Jerry’s heart to love me, nurture me and teach me about God. One of my stains has been to not really believe that God really loves me. I fight thoughts like, “God doesn’t really love you. You’re not clean enough or sweet enough. You’re not growing quick enough.”  When Jesus showed this to my heart, it was like He just scrubbed more of that stain away. Amen!!!  I feel so loved! I am amazed that God has shown all of this. Kings purifying their wives, rituals that are symbols of Jesus and the truth. We have everything we need to know Him when the Spirit comes. Isn’t that amazing pastor John?

    I feel like I need to marinate a while longer. I have huge waves of understanding coming that Jesus is showing me His love. It’s like ALMOST understanding! Praise God! Praise God.

    Beth

    ( I really wanted this to come out clear and full of the feelings Jesus is giving me but its hard to put into words.)

  • Building a Righteous Life

    Good Morning, Pastor John!

    I was listening to an Old Testament class cd this morning, and this was so good thought it would be great Pearl of the Day!

    “It seems as if righteousness has to be built.  ’Here a little there a little, line upon line’ (Isaiah 28:10).  That’s why it is so important to continue to do good things one day upon another.   You build one year of your righteous life upon another, doing what is right, because you have to ’learn to do well’ (Isaiah 1:17).  You have to ‘attain to right doctrine’ little by little.”  JDC

    I just thought about all the good things God has revealed to you along the years, and you passed on to us!  My!  It also makes me think about how God is still revealing good things as we continue with Him.

    Thank you!

  • Jeremiah and Josiah

    Morning, Pastor John!

    I am really loving the prophet Jeremiah and King Josiah story in OT!  I think this is my favorite of all of them.

    Hi Beth!

    The story of King Josiah is one of the most thrilling, and puzzling, in the Bible.  And with the boy prophet Jeremiah joining with Josiah in his effort to save the nation, it makes for a very touching tale.

  • Haman in the Father and Son book

    Hi, Pastor John;

    I have been thinking about Haman, since the beach, Monday evening.  A scene keeps coming back in my mind from the book of Esther.

    Esther 7 King James Version (KJV)

    So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.

    And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.

    Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

    For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king’s damage.

    Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?

    And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

    And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.

    Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.

    And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

    10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.”

    I had a thought that when Haman’s “face was covered”, he never saw the king or anyone else for that matter again. He was taken to the gallows (immediately) which Haman’s servants had built for Mordecai, and was hanged with Haman’s sons. After Jesus’ sacrifice was accepted by the Father in Heaven, we know God cleansed Heaven of every unclean being (Satan and his angels (servants) and Satan (they) fell from Heaven like lightening NEVER to see the face of God again.  Haman’s judgment was pronounced the moment Haman’s face was covered, just as Satan’s judgment was pronounced the moment he fell as lightning from Heaven; it was just a matter of carrying the sentence out.

    Satan’s utter judgment: Rev. 20:10  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

    Satan can’t find (see) us because God has Satan covered; We are “hidden in Christ”. Once Esther knew Haman’s presence had been covered, Esther, Mordecai, and all of the Jews had no more fear of Haman and what he could do to them.  And, if God will grant us wisdom and understanding. God’s people will not have fear of what of Satan or his sons can do to them (us).

  • Reading Excerpts from the Father and Son book

    http://www.goingtojesus.com/text/books/fatherandson.pdf

    I love reading the recent excerpts from Father and Son book that you sent out! God is giving us eyes to see the Son woven throughout the Bible. I could not truly understand, while I was in Christianity, the verses that said, “things written afore time were written for our learning” and were ”a shadow of things to come”, because in Xty, they had no understanding from God about the Old Testament and the Son. But God has taught us and given understanding, through the anointing He has given you, to open the Old Testament and the Son up to our hearts.  I am thankful!

    ============

    I love reading what you sent out from the Father and Son book.  I just love knowing this! The section, “The Act of Bowing” …that whole second paragraph!  “Satan came to the wilderness as God’s representative, not as  a rebel.”  John, Satan is doing exactly what God wants him to do right now.

    This IS a revelation from God!!!!  Christianity taught us, like you said, that Satan tried to overthrow God and was kicked out of Heaven.  How silly is that to us now!

    This will wake you up, just to know what the Son really thought of Satan, and Satan not having a clue.  Whew!!  No wonder Satan hates the Son and this truth so much.  He is just being used by God.  God help us!!!

    It makes me wonder how many more “shadows” God will reveal to us, and the conversations the Son and the Father have had.

    This is good!!

  • Re-baptized?

    Hello, Can a person get baptized a second time if your reasons wasn’t right the first time? I’m a Pentecostal.

    Nancy S

    ===============

    Hi Nancy,

    Forget water baptism.  If you have the baptism of the holy Ghost, you are as baptized as a person ever needs to be.  In this covenant, as Paul said, “There is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism”.  This gospel tract will help you understand:

    God bless you and yours.

  • Thankful

    Hey John, What sweet feeling tonight!  To be a part of the work Jesus gave you is a honor.  You said on a OT cd this week that if someone among us falls away, it won’t be because they haven’t been fed.  Amen! I am thankful for this life. Jr.

  • Last Night’s Meeting (April 8, 2015)

    Pastor John,

    I love the message last night Jesus prepared!  I ate on it all night.  It seems  even better this morning thinking in it. Wonderful.  I pray, “Let us take it all in!”

  • So Good and so True

    Pastor John,

    I’ve been working on our “old meeting tapes” project today. Back in March of 1989, you said, “It’s precious not to be ashamed of worshiping in spirit”.

    Immediately, I thought about Sister Venice last night and how her joy was overcoming her so much that she had absolutely no thought about anything or anybody, just trying to thank Jesus for what he has done for her! Such a perfect example of not being ashamed of worshiping in spirit AND how precious it was to us!!

    I got so teary eyed just thinking about last night that I had to stop typing for a little while and get still so I could see it again. Wonderful!

    Sheila
