  • Healing of acid reflux/Suzi

Hi John. Here is the wonderful story of how Jesus sent a healing to me.

    February 2012

Jesus is healing the acid reflux that I’ve had for 1-2 years.
The Story: Because of the painful digestive symptoms that come with acid reflux, I have been sitting up to be able to go to sleep at night. Then after some time, I’d be able to lie down. I had reason not to take prescription medicine, but occasionally took an herbal remedy which helped, but never healed. Recently the symptoms had become worse. Tom and I had prayed, “Jesus, please heal me enough so that I can lie down on my back to be able to sleep”. Perhaps a few days after I prayed that, I noticed one night that I was lying on my back with no acid reflux, no burning in the esophagus. I lay very still and quiet, noticing and wondering what Jesus was doing. I had taken no prescription, no supplements to help the symptoms. I went to sleep figuring that the test of time would prove it out. When I awoke, I had slept with very little acid reflux interruption, which was very notable. I was watchful that day to see how I felt. I was thanking Jesus, and talking to him about what he was doing, and how I knew that he was the one who had touched me. So I went about the day feeling some of the old symptoms, but happy about what was healed. As I was bending over doing some dusting and house cleaning, I noticed that something was missing. I could always expect a burning reflux in my chest when I bent from the waist. I stopped what I was doing, but I was still bent over observing that Jesus had healed that part. It took a few moments of quiet awe to feel this healthy feeling and to understand that only Jesus could’ve done this. I sat down and began weeping and thanking Jesus, so very grateful and so much in awe. I texted and called a few people to share this wonder. Later in the day, I noticed something else that Jesus had done. When I was swallowing food, it did not get stuck at the esophagus. It was a clear flow. I began weeping again. It is an awesome feeling, full of quiet awe to be touched by Jesus in body and in spirit. This healing means a lot to me, for it was Jesus, the Great Physician who touched me and healed me.

Pstor John’s book, “Speaking In Tongues….” is phenomenal! God told me a while ago that the Holy Spirit is essentially the same as The Blood Of Jesus. On The final parts of page 28 Pastor John essentially says the same thing.

God works all things out for a reason (Roman 8:28-34). I will keep seeking the Truth regarding Jesus Christ and Salvation.

    Thank-you,

  • song, I’ve Got My Eye On You

    Hello Gary,

I have your new song, and I’m listening to it right now (played it back again and again)! 😀 Thank you so much. Thank you also for writing the lyrics! I’m singing along with you! 🙂 I love it! Yes, He’s got His eyes on us! Praise God!

John must have mentioned that the day you sung this way back, I posted on my page about, “He’s got His eyes on you!” Appropriately written on that one special with the Lord! God is just so good! Amen!

Also, I’ve heard your other songs, and so with your other fellow-singers, and I am totally blessed to hear them all. Once I’m online, it has been my hourly music of praise and worship to the Lord. You’re all such a great blessing!!!

Keep singing for the Lord. You’ve blessed us all with your heavenly songs. Indeed, God is truly glorified, magnified and exalted. Your labor of love will surely be rewarded. To God be the glory!

Again, thank you for sharing your music, and have a blessed week ahead.

May God continue to bless the works of your hands, and may He in-tuned you more with His blessed heavenly music!

Yes, He’s got His Eye on You,Gary!!! 🙂

    Thank you Ophy,

I’m blessed that you’re being blessed. We hope to get to know you more as time goes on, and to hear about the good things God is doing for you.

I’m glad you got to meet pastor John – it is no coincidence. It is certain, He has His eye on us all! 🙂

    Be blessed,

  • Chapter 5 excerpt

    John,

Last night, as we were reading through the new addition to chapter five of T&O I got quiet – I could feel something happening. What I heard as we were reading, and again on the way home, was this:   “this is a foray into the Iron Kingdom”.

In the Spirit, it felt like a door was opening for your Iron Kingdom book, but I was not exactly sure what “foray” even means… so I looked it up:

    1. A sudden raid or military advance.
    2. A venture or an initial attempt, especially outside one’s usual area: i.e., an actor’s “foray” into politics.

That’s what it felt to me that you did in this part of the Tithes and Offering book. A Foray… I believe that last night I was feeling, that Jesus is feeling, it is time for your Iron Kingdom book! (After Tithes and Offerings, and after Father and the Son, of course!) 🙂

And who knows what awaits us there? Nobody but Jesus!

  • Last night

    Hi, Pastor John:

Last night was so good. You were talking about how vain man is, and right before the meeting, I had heard a man on TV say of a sinner who had died, “At least he didn’t die in vain.” But that is exactly what that man did! He died in vain. What that man was saying was, “I’ll pick up his work from here, and die in vain, too” because, vain x vain = vain squared.

It is so sad, to watch someone, especially a young athlete, or actor, spend his or her whole life giving themselves to vanity (games and play-acting), patting themselves on the back, and giving each other awards for the ability that God gave them in the first place, and never repenting. But “God knows them that are his.”

The saints of God have not missed a thing.

I feel so thankful and blessed this morning. Like Darren’s song says, “We’re not hopeless, we’re not helpless anymore”.

I like this equation: Vanity (us) + hope (Jesus) = being loved.

I hope 🙂 , to see everyone this weekend!

  • Donna – Chapter 5 excerpt

John, this is from Chapter 5 of your Tithes and Offerings book:

“It is understandable that a people, cruelly persecuted for many years, would rejoice if that persecution ended. But the Empire did more than offer a cessation of hostility against the saints. It offered them a share in the power of the Empire, and foolish believers fell for that sweet bait.”

When I got to this point, I had to ask “Why?” Why did the Empire offer the saints of God anything? What was in it for them that they wanted? The money? I know you’ve talked the “great whore” just previously, but what do you think about really pinpointing that seductive relationship?

    Donna
    =============

    Hi Donna.

This is one of the tangents I did not want to get on in this particular book, even though the question is provoked by the information I did give. Scholars generally agree that the Emperor Constantine’s purpose for seeking a relationship with believers was to get some help uniting and stabilizing the empire. The empire was huge, socially and politically fragmented, and difficult to control, but believers were known for their unity (with exceptions, of course), and their willingness to listen to the bishops drew the attention of the crafty rulers of the Roman Empire.

That is a very short answer, but in brief, that is what the empire wanted from the bargain. Satan (via the empire) wanted better control over the population, and the authority of the bishops over the saints appeared to be something that would help to achieve that end.

    Pastor John
    =========

    Hi John,

I enjoyed Donna’s question “Why?” Why did the Empire offer the saints of God anything? And your answer. I loved what you said last night. It is not about books; it is about the spirit of God that He sent back through his Son to us. What I liked about Donna’s question is that without the spirit of God, I don’t know if anyone would even think to ask that question.

I got to thinking about this scripture (Hos. 4:6): “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me. Seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

The knowledge that is missing in our time is the knowledge of what God has actually done for his people. What God did through his Son is not known by almost all of God’s children today. They don’t know what happened when he filled them with his sweet holy ghost, and they can easily be manipulated by wise serpents in this world, who would lead them to be a part of something God hates – and they don’t even know it!!

We, as saints of God, because of the lack of knowledge, have been overtaken and many destroyed because the knowledge of God has been rejected by many. We were in the condition to receive the share of power that the Roman Empire had to offer when it came. I am sure a small remnant held on to the faith and paved the road for us.

I love what God is teaching us through you, John, we are gaining knowledge and understanding that is very rare among the saints of God today on this earth, that I know of anyway. All the books and tracts, and CDs, and websites, and Justin TV, are used to get God’s people to seek for that knowledge that they need — that we need, from God above, so we will not fall victim to what this world and satan has to offer. And we will reign with him in the end because he loves us that much and wants us to be with him. It is an honor to be a part of what God is giving us through you and I pray that we all take it in and hold on to it. It is our life, our joy, and hope to see his face some day. I want to be there with you and all the rest of his saints we know. Thank you, John, for giving us what God gives you.

    Your Thankful brother

    Stuart

  • Christian word

Pastor John, you are so right!

Here is one of many references I can find online:

How many times does word “Christian” appear in the Bible?
In the King James Version it appears 3x: (Acts 11:26, Acts 26:28, and I Peter 4:16)
    BUT
The New Testament manuscripts were written in Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic originally not English as English did not exist at this point. The Greek word for Christian found in these passages is: Christiano meaning a follower of Christos (Christ). Christos means anointed/Messiah. Mashiach is the word for Messiah in Hebrew and Paraclete is the word for Christ in Hebrew. The original disciples never had any formal “name” for themselves but were later called Christians by the Romans who occupied Antioch Greece in which the word had a very different meaning in those ancient days!

  • Sweet Morning

    Good Morning!

Jesus did something very sweet for Jonathan and me this morning. Every morning on the way to school lately there have been hundreds of little birds sitting on the power lines. We always get stopped at one particular intersection. Jonathan loves to listen to the birds “talk to him”, in the mornings, and I get very tickled watching him enjoy it. Well this morning the birds happened to be on the other side of the intersection and he could not see them. I could hear the disappointment in the back seat as he started saying, “I can’t see them momma!” I said, “Ask Jesus and say, Jesus please let the birdies move so I can see them.” It was sweet because I could hear his little sincere voice repeating just what I told him to ask Jesus for. Just as he finished saying it, a big garbage truck came racing thru the intersection and scared all of the birds off the line. They were scattering and guess where they all flew to? They sat down right on the line outside of Jonathan’s side. The light quickly turned green, and it was the sweetest thing because I knew Jesus had done that just for us. I told Jonathan how Jesus made the birdies come just for us! 🙂

I brought tears to my eyes thinking about it this morning and how we truly do have a living God, who cares even about the simplest of things in our day. And that even at such a young age Jesus give’s our children sweet little experiences.

It was a very good and unexpected way to start our morning! 🙂

  • Joseph’s humble attitude

    Hello Pastor John

I have been reading the All Things book and the story of 17 year old Joseph during his time in Egypt, and I am amazed at how God kept him. It was twenty two years later and God decided Joseph had obeyed Him so well at all the things Joseph had suffered at the hands of his Brothers, Potiphar’s wife falsely accusing him, the butler forgetting Joseph’ plea. No matter what he suffered, He knew God’s hand was responsible for it all, and was never bitter instead he made sure he was going to be the best servant anyone ever saw. This really touched my heart.

I have a question about the story of Joseph. Was his story a shadow of what Jesus would be like when He would come and suffer and show the world He was going to be the best servant anyone had ever seen? Just some thoughts.

    Sam

Yes, Joseph was a figure of Jesus. The next time man sees Jesus, he will not be an abused and hated prisoner. Instead, he will be reigning next to his Father, just as Joseph reigned next to Pharaoh.

  • judge orders removal of prayer banner

John, I read the title of an online article, so I clicked on it: “Judge orders the removal of “prayer banner” from public school in Rhode Island.”

I expected it to have reference to the “J” word to warrant removal. (And that would be fine – I’m not for forcing Jesus on anyone who doesn’t want Him.) But then I read the actual prayer!!

Good grief. What a threat…. we wouldn’t want the thoughts on this banner to influence any young person at school.

They have it covered up now, awaiting “appeal.” :/

    Gary

    Our Heavenly Father,
Grant us each day the desire to do our best,
To grow mentally and morally as well as physically,
To be kind and helpful to our classmates and teachers,
To be honest with ourselves as well as with others,
Help us to be good sports and smile when we lose as well as when we win,
Teach us the value of true friendship,
Help us always to conduct ourselves so as to bring credit to Cranston High School West.

    Amen

    ===========

    Gary,
There is nothing we can do to put a halt to the moral decay in this society; this culture is crumbling before our eyes, and unless God chooses to raise up prophets and others with power and truth — and sends them — there is no hope at all. What we are to do is simply to be lights in a dark world. And this world is getting darker every day. May God help us simply to shine with His light so that those who are looking for the truth can find it, and find relief from this mad world.
