Watch What We Do!
  • Talents

    Hey Pastor John,

Wednesday night’s message and songs were so good. I loved all of it! I have been re-watching the meeting and trying to take in all the goodness. What you said last night about the parable in Matthew 25:14-30 reminded me of the “Pearl of Wisdom” from October 23, 2021*.  Preacher Clark said,

“Jesus told a parable about a rich man entrusting some of his servants with money, called ‘talents’. Everyone has at least one talent, one gift. He gives you one to start with, and you’d better have at least two talents when he returns if you want to be saved.”

I remember reading that and thinking, “What, is a talent and do I have at least two?” The next day, I found the answer to my question in the “Thought for the Evening ,10-24” titled “The Word of Their Testimony”!** In this you wrote,

“There are two essentials to overcoming the Devil, and John told us what they are when he wrote, “they overcame him through the blood of the Lamb and through the word of their testimony.” Satan has beguiled the whole world, as John noted in the verses above, and without these two essentials of spiritual life, we cannot hope to escape the suffocating spiritual darkness that covers mankind.”

You explain that the blood of the Lamb is the holy Ghost and that the word of their testimony is confessing Christ and what he has done, by doing that we can overcome the world. You summed it up by saying, “Don’t be found at the coming of the Lord with a testimony never told. You do not want to be condemned by the Lord for hiding the talent he gave you and then offering it, unused, to him when he returns.”

Last night you said that in the end the only thing the unprofitable servant in the parable had was the holy Ghost (that one talent/gift he was given) but he never grew in grace and knowledge (he hid his talent, he didn’t tell his testimony). You told us, “Use what Jesus gave you. You want to testify to what he’s done, it might bear fruit and you might not show up empty handed! But you will show up empty handed if you never use it!”

That was just so good to me I wanted to share 🙂

  • The Wise and Foolish Virgins Parable

    Hi, Pastor John.

As you were teaching about the wise and foolish virgins, I had a thought.  If you were in the flesh, it would like as though the foolish virgins were frugal by not carrying anything in excess on the persons, but in fact it is the wise virgins who were the frugal ones because they valued the “Who” instead of valuing the “what”.

Also, there are no commissaries in Heaven.  You cannot purchase anything for your soul over there; you either have in this life what you need to make it on Judgment Day or you don’t. There is not one thing that you can buy at that time (not that we would have anything to buy with) that can be purchased for anything lacking in our hearts.  Mercy, Hope, Faith, Love, Relationships, etc., are only to be gained while we are on this earth, and God has given us time while we are living on this planet to obtain it.

    Just some thoughts,

    Billy

  • Jesus and the Ten Lepers

    Good morning over there!

I was reading today’s Thought for the Morning*, and I had a thought of my own! smiley face2

I wonder if Jesus sent the lepers back to the priest because of how the priest would receive them? When Jesus healed them of that horrible and isolating disease, they may have been very full and happy, praising the man that healed them.  I was!  I was on death’s doorstep!  Addiction and mess is its own leprosy.  When he healed me, I couldn’t help but tell everyone and sing his praises.  I was and still am amazed at the healing I received!  I still want everyone to know Jesus did it!  I am just trying to picture the men (who would have been known as lepers) taking the news to the priest, and I wondered how the priest would have reacted to their praise of Jesus!

Or was it a ceremonial act, that they needed to be ceremonially cleansed after Jesus healed the lepers, so they could be accepted back into society?  I can’t remember clearly what you have said about that.  Just thinking about the things of God!  Part of my amazing healing! red heart

    =============

Jesus would have sent those lepers to the priests even if he had known the priest would hate them for their testimony because that was the will of God, as expressed in Moses’ law, and Jesus always did what His Father wanted done.

I have never thought about how the priests would have received the lepers and their glowing testimonies about Jesus.  Thank you for adding that to me!

  • Revelation 18:3

    John,

    Good Morning,

None in her (Babylon) are going to escape God’s judgment. I wonder if since a significant amount of governments on fiduciary currency are broke now, how God will use that. I saw an atheist on You Tube proposing separation of Church and state, which is a way for governments to get more money. (Glad you got us out of that issue, and glad I was for the move.) This guy, claiming to be an atheist, had an unbelievably harsh spirit.  It was the first time I have seen that much harsh hatred in a person, (maybe one other time when a guy was defending the saved doctrine). Most atheists just act like they are intellectually superior.  This was different, and with censoring power of the media, it is now easy to get a movement going, since opposition can be silenced.  Watching first hand the Covid saga has taught me how easily that can be done.

Jesus help us be all the way “out of her” and help us see Christianity the way he does!  I believe saying it verbally (“giving it a name”) is part of the exodus.

“For all nations have drunk of the wine of her whorish passion, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich on the strength of her luxury.”

    Wendell

    ==========

    Good morning, PJ.

I was reading Bro Wendell’s email this morning, and it is so sad how that harsh spirit, whether atheist, unbeliever, or wants-to-be an unbeliever, or Christian who wants to hold onto to the saved doctrine and beat you down with it, is just so determined to persuade (if that’s even the right word) people to believe the way they believe.  I have had thoughts lately about what you said about “giving it a name”, and it feels good to just know and hear/feel the safety in that we “know” there is a name for that thing.

I have prayed and talked to Jesus about my feelings that came with that message, to keep me humble and compassionate towards those who don’t know what we know because the holy Ghost is still being given to some who are still in Christianity and who don’t know or haven’t been shown yet “to come out of her”.  And I’ve thought about what you’ve said about it’s not for everyone to be here with us, and I thought, where will they go when they come out?  They may never come out, but I sure hope to meet all my brothers and sisters one day and live forever with them.  It makes me sad that they aren’t with us now to hear these wonderful things.

I’m so thankful for what we have been taught, and I pray to continue to hear and feel what is to come because there is so much more, I’m sure, that Jesus has for us!  That’s exciting!

Thank you for all you give us.

    Tracey

    ==========

Thank you, Tracey.  That is the other side of the “come out of her” coin.  How are we to feel toward and treat children of God who do not hear the call of their heavenly Father to come out?  That is an important question because God loves all His children, even those (and there are very many) still entangled in the vain religious system called Christianity.  And as you say, He still gives His Spirit to souls in Christianity who believe in His Son and obey him.

May God help us to have an humble, loving attitude toward others, whoever they are and wherever they may be.

  • God Is Good!

    Pastor John,

The past week or so I’ve been reading in Jeremiah and listening to the Old Testament cds*.  It really has touched me how good God is!  Even when his people were rotten he would tell them REPENT and I will bless you forever!

You said, “it doesn’t matter what situation you’re in, God has a jubilee for you!  None of Gods people are hopeless!”

God told his people, if they repent and confess their iniquity then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, Isaac and Abraham.

    God is good!

All I keep thinking is it’s the same way now!  God is still good!  If you’ve made a mistake, if you’ve wobbled off the right path REPENT, confess your iniquity and LIVE forever with Jesus!

God really has made it that easy. God really is that good! red heart (more…)

  • Abomination of Desolation

    Hey Pastor John,

Tonight, when you first started preaching, I couldn’t understand everything you were saying, but it felt so good in my spirit.  I kept thinking, “Oh, Jesus, this is so good!  Let me take it in!  Help me understand!” Then it started turning in my soul: the spirit of Antichrist is low-down, conniving coward!  It will lie and cheat, but it will also bring you flowers and tell you everything your flesh wants to hear.  But stay close to Jesus, and that thing will stink; you’ll be able to smell it a mile away!  It felt so good to know we’ve been taught the truth and to know what we’ve been given.  I stood up before I even realized it, it just felt so good!

    Good night!
    Michelle

    ============

    Good morning, John,

I read these verses in Jeremiah Chapter 2 this morning and it’s God pleading through Jeremiah for his children to come back to him, but it reminded me of what we read and what you taught us last night:

vs 7:  But I brought you to this garden-land, that you might eat of its fruit and its goodness.  But you went in and defiled my land.  Yea, you made my inheritance an abomination.

vs 11:…my people have exchanged their glory for that which will not profit.

vs 12, 13:  Be appalled, O heavens, at this!  Yea, be horrified, and devastated, said the LORD!  For my people have committed two evils:  they have forsaken me, the fountain of living water, to hew out for themselves broken cisterns which hold no water”.

That was hundreds of years ago, and yet, nothing has changed!   ….God’s children have exchanged their glory (the Holy Ghost), for Christianity with its rituals and doctrines that will profit them nothing!  They have made their inheritance an abomination.

Jesus is still calling His children out of that abomination of desolation back to Him!

We should be appalled and horrified and devastated about the way Christianity has turned the hearts of God’s people away from the very fountain of living water, and for what?  Broken cisterns, which hold no water!  Oh God!  Help us!

My prayer is that I hate that thing and what it’s done to God’s children as much as God hates it.

  • Pointing at Us

As I listened to Gary sing*, and throughout the meeting, I felt how absolutely backward and absurd it is that the dumb spirit will have people stand there stained and in chains, blindly pointing at us and wanting us to be ashamed.  I can see that picture so clearly.  The one across from the other. Jesus has cleaned us up and removed our chains, our eyes are opened, we are no longer blind.  We know the Answer, their Answer.  Like Jonathan said recently, they are staring at the Answer.

Oh, I pray our young people can see what stands across from them, blindly pointing at them and trying to persecute them.

    It’s insane.

  • Tithes and Offerings Book

    Hi John.

I have really been enjoying the next book that I started reading, “Tithes and Offerings.”*

One thing that stood out to me this morning was what you said about Malachi 3, where God commanded his people to bring their tithes and offerings to His storehouse.

God’s people we’re not allowed IN the storehouse. Only God’s servants, the Levites, etc., were allowed in that place in the temple.  In other words, for God to ask the people to bring their tithes and offerings to the storehouse, was for Him to require something of them that they could not do! God’s servants had to do that part.

I always love it when man is taken out of God’s ways!  Just as men have no part in giving the Holy Ghost (for it takes Jesus), so, men have no part in bringing tithes and offerings to God’s storehouse – not without a man whom God has anointed to receive them and get them there!

That was so good!  We are not going to get around God, and we are not going to get around Jesus, and we are not going to get around the Holy Ghost, and we are not going to get around you.  No Assembly anywhere is going to get around the pastor that God has given them.  The best we can do is to do it God’s way. I just enjoyed that thought this morning.  The way of truth is so true and good.  Thanks for sharing these good, heavenly thoughts with us through your writings.

  • Thought for the Morning

    Good morning Pastor John

The Mathew readings have been so very good!  EVERYTHING I was taught in Satan’s religion was exactly backwards.  I am constantly having to forget and relearn the messages from the Bible.  Even this morning, while reading the “Thoughts for the Morning”* book, I was presented another of the lies I had been taught.  I was taught to build my strength and that in my strength, I could do God’s will; 180 degrees off from reality.   After reading and letting the lesson soak in, the holy Ghost explained to me that if I thought I had strength, I would be off doing my own will.  And God would not get through to me because I would be relying on me, and not listening.   That is not what God wants from us.  He wants us wanting to and having to rely upon Him, for everything in the flesh (which is what relying upon my strength and will is) is sin.  We need Him to guide us in what is right.  And “what is right” can change, depending on what God wants, and only by being meek will we be be able to listen.  Soooo very far from my upbringing.

Thank you for bringing the truth into my life.

One more good experience this morning.   I turned on the tv to catch the news, but it was on a different station.   There was a very funny segment from a show that I used to watch.  So, I paused for some chuckles.  The first advertisement was from God.  It started with a white robe hanging in the darkness. A song came on singing, “I will kill you,” and at the same time, the robe started burning.  I  felt it was God telling me to choose the tv and to focus on Him.  Needless to say, I immediately turned off the tv and returned my thoughts to God.  He can make me laugh when i need it, and that’s good enough for me.

    Love you all
    Mark

  • The Real Jesus

I loved last night!  I love how real it is, how real the truth is!  Sin is pleasurable for a time, to be able to say that and not have that over-spiritual, Christian silence about it is so good to me!

Being disappointed, discouraged, and heavy-hearted at times is real!  Living in a world full of sin feels awful sometimes!  I think just being able to say that is freeing!  I know it sure feels good!  To be able to say we will be discouraged is the most ENCOURAGING message!

Is there another word, other than real?  I wish I knew how to say it, to get down to the raw bones of it!  I love the truth of the truth, I love how real it is!

All my hope is to get out of this world and be with Jesus!  I had enough of this world to know how awful it is.  As much as I regret that life, I am so thankful to know what this world will give you.  It makes me cling to my Jesus, who came and carried me out!

Where would I be without the real Jesus!

I am so thankful Jesus is real!  And what you feed us is real!

Stay on the hook! red heart
